verizon vs at&t
The internet is buzzin’ over Verizon’s recent announcement about the LG Voyager cell phone. I wrote about it yesterday over at my customer service blog and questioned whether or not Verizon (NYSE: VZ) had better service than AT&T (NYSE: T).

However, from a stock market position, I’m also very curious to see whether or not all this talk about the Voyager has affected Verizon’s stock.

Verizon’s Stock Price
Looking at the price on Monday morning, October 1, I see that Verizon’s stock price opened at $44.44. Today it closed at $45.42. So, we see almost a buck increase from Monday. Will it continue to rise as we get closer to the release of the Voyager?

Which is the better buy?
I guess the bigger question that should be asked is: Which is a better buy - AT&T stock or Verizon stock? StockTradingToGo.com does an analysis and concludes that perhaps Verizon may be a better stock pick because of growth potential.

Time will only tell if the Verizon Voyager will be the iPhone killer. To be quite frank and honest, I really don’t care. I’m not much of a gadget person. In fact, I still have an old Nokia phone that is probably the dinosaur of cell phones!
