For those of you beer fanatics, you may have heard the news about Miller and Coors (TAP) merging together to gain market share over Anheuser-Busch (BUD 52.03).

I never have given much thought to investing in beer companies, although I think it would be a good idea to. I'm not much of a beer drinker - although I was in college! Think about it though, guys and gals will always be drinking beer. It's not a product that's going to go away anytime soon - if at all.

Molson Coors Brewing Company closed at $56.15 today while Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. (BUD) closed at $51.57

So, what else does a beer company do to gain loyal customers and raise the stock price? I know that Coors Light commercial with the mountains turning blue didn't quite make me want to jump up and go buy the beer.
