Last night I finally watched The Pursuit of Happyness. For those of you who still haven’t watched it (a must-see movie!), it’s based on the true story of Christopher Gardner, a medical equipment salesman who wanted to become a stock broker.
It’s truly an inspiring tale of someone who has a dream and pursues that dream with so much passion - even though his world seems to be falling down around him. He gets evicted, can barely make ends meet, and on top of that is working as an unpaid intern with Dean Witter. How many people do you know would work unpaid for six months in order to purse their dream?
This movie, The Pursuit of Happyness (available as a book as well), is a lesson in persistence and perseverance. Whether you want to become a stock broker, be a savvy stock market investor, or simply want to be financially free, you can be and do all those things if you just follow your dream and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise!
