Starbucks is a company that I have been following for awhile now. I used to blog about Starbucks and my experiences quite often over at CustomersAreAlways. I was a raving fan, if you will. However, my most recent experiences have left me thinking that maybe I should just hold off on buying Starbucks stock (SBUX).
The Stockmasters have come up with 10 reasons why you shouldn’t buy Starbucks’ stock. One of the reasons stuck out in my mind:
How many more stores can they build and will people really keep going to them?
Starbucks seems to have turned into the McDonald’s of coffee companies. Once upon a time you were able to walk into a Starbucks and be greeted by shining, happy faces. Now you walk into a Starbucks and people look weary. Don’t get me wrong, though. There are still some great people who work for Starbucks.
It’s just that the pressure is on to service people faster…all the Starbucks are starting to look the same…There’s just no element of coziness anymore.
I Was Going To Buy Starbucks Stock, But...
